Except day of arrival (at the retreat) and departure day, you will be participating daily about 4 hours of physical activities including relaxation and meditation, about 3 hours of class room type teaching or discussions.
This is not suitable course for teachers for teaching yoga. But provides most helpful resource and training for the yoga teachers.
Different aspects of yoga techniques will be taught by experienced yoga instructors under the strict guidance of most senior Yoga teachers.
Theory and discussion classes are conducted by the experts in the relevant fields.
Mostly personal items, some warm clothing, light long sleeves/trousers, hat, mosquito repellent, any personal medication for the duration of the retreat, note book and pen, camera.
No prior reading or study is required. Come with an open mind to learn.
It is a combination of traditional Raja Yoga with Hata yoga. The techniques are unique and focussed towards applying yoga in daily life.
Meditation will be a part of the schedule. However, more emphasis will be given on the techniques of right type of meditation and train how to meditate.
Depending on the time, we plan at least one half day visit to local attractions At least one local cultural program such as tribal dance or local music.
The accommodation is a safe place. However, avoid moving with strangers, going to remote areas and wandering out of the accommodation during late hours. The whole workshop/ retreat is free from smoking, using drugs and alcohol.
The yoga retreat is a place for calm, quiet, peaceful, cooperative, friendly and happy environment and wish to provide the best learning place for all the participants. One who disturbs this atmosphere will be subjected to disciplinary action. It may lead to warning or removal of the person responsible from the workshop. The decision in this matter fully depends on the retreat organisers. In serious cases the matter may be referred to the local police.
